Bollywood's Big Fallouts

Where there are friendships there will always be rifts and misunderstandings. Bollywood is no different. Here's tracking down some of the most sensational fallouts between the biggies.

Arbaaz Khan-Abhinav Kashyap

 

Who's the creator of Chulbul Pandey? That's at the heart of the Dabangg controversy which intensifies with each passing day. As if the Arbaaz-Abhinav clash wasn't enough, the latter's brother, Anurag Kashyap, took the battle to Twitter only to apologise later. The war of words continue.

Shah Rukh Khan-Farah Khan

As a team, they delivered two of the biggest hits of all time, Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om and then something went horribly wrong.

Apparently, Farah wanted SRK for Tees Maar Khan and he insisted on reworking the script. Instead, Farah went to Akshay Kumar. The un'rest' is history.

Salman Khan-Aditya Chopra

In his two-decade long career, Salman came very close to working with the Chopras in Chak De! India but his huge remuneration and difficult behaviour made a dent in the Chopra-Khan relationship.

It seems Rani Mukerji is playing peacemaker between the two now.

Sanjay Dutt-Sanjay Gupta

Like Gupta's slick thrillers which always involve the theme of male bonding, the two Sanjays were friends forever. It was widely believed that they fell out over financial issues but insiders had another version: Mrs Dutt spoiled the fun.

Anusha Rizvi and Amole Gupte-Aamir Khan

Aamir and creative differences go hand in hand. During Taare Zameen Par, Aamir took directorial charge by dislodging Amole. Anusha was treated slightly better. She at least got to shoot Peepli [Live] entirely.

Both films in question became huge hits, thanks to the 'Aamir touch.'

Sunny Deol-Rajkumar Santoshi

It's generally agreed that the Gadar rabble-rouser got his meatiest roles in Santoshi films. Ghayal, Ghatak and Damini remain his best films.

 The thick friends turned thicker foes when they clashed their respective films on Bhagat Singh in 2002. Word is that they aren't that bitter any more. 

Manoj Bajpai-Ram Gopal Varma

Gritting his teeth, RGV's Bhiku Mhatre announced that he'll never work with him. Never to mince sentences, Ramu retaliated. For a while there was silence. Something suddenly triggered communication and they started talking. Expect RGV-Bajpai to re-team, sooner than later.

Nana Patekar-Prakash Jha

When two hotheads get into a conflict, no one dares them. But Ranbir Kapoor did. Apparently, the young Kapoor made a call to a bitter Nana and handed over the phone to Prakash in a bid to make things easy between them.

For those unaware, Nana had walked out of the sets of Rajneeti.

Mallika Sherawat-Bhatts

They were, in a way, responsible for her success with Murder. The no-nonsense Bhatts, however, refused to tolerate her attitude during Gangster and Ms Mallika was shown the door.

Matters soured and Bhatt bros never worked with her again. Wait, there's some talk of a patch-up of late.
