The drought situation in Maharashtra has become a serious issue and with the Holi festival round the corner, Bollywood stars have expressed their concerns and urged their fans to save water. Here's what they tweeted:

Riteish Deshmukh:

Amitabh Bachchan congratulates National Award winners

Amitabh Bachchan is happy with this year's National Award winners as it includes many of his favourite people from the film fraternity.  

He tweeted: 'Proud and happy with the National Awards announced for those that I have greatly admired.. Irrfan, Parineeti, Anu, Shoojit, Sujoy...

'The list of those personally known and admired is long : Tigmanshu, Prasoon,Shanker, Bedabrata, RituParno, Nawazuddin .. the National Award winners :Parineeti, Sujoy, Shoojit, Irrfan, Vikram.. among the others mentioned earlier..filled with pride !!' he added.

Apoorva Lakhia's birthday gift to Ram Charan Teja

Filmmaker Apoorva Lakhia has decided to launch the trailer of his film Toofan, the Telugu remake of 1973 Hindi film Zanjeerstarring Ram Charan Teja on his birthday on March 27.

'Planning a big launch for the teaser and trailer of Thoofan on Charan's birthday in hyd. Cutting, snipping, BG score, grading. Full power,' Lakhia tweeted.

'Hindi trailer/teaser of #Zanjeer will follow two days after the release of thoofan,' he added.

The film also stars Priyanka Chopra, Prakash Raj, Srihari and Sanjay Dutt in lead roles.

Madhuri Dixit, who is busy shooting for Dedh Ishqiya in Lucknow, is enjoying the local cuisine. 'Enjoying food from all over Lucknow . Unbelievable delicacies. Didn't know this set is full of foodies!!' she tweeted.


Bollywood stars head to Durban

Several Bollywood stars are headed to Durban for the SAIFTA (South Africa India Film and Television Awards), held on March 22.

Farah Khan, who recently arrived there with husband Shirish Kunder, shared a
picture of her with Geeta Kapur and wrote: 'Finally met my child @geetakapur in durban,after months!! Our 'pose' whch v do in every city v hav ever bn 2 2gether!' 

Actress Richa Chadda is also headed there. 'I am off to Durban tomorrow... Looking forward to SAIFTA curtain raiser,' she updated.
