'Jiah Khan was out of work and depressed'

Several stars took to Twitter to express shock and offer condolences as soon as the news of actress Jiah Khan's alleged suicide broke.

Jiah's first costar Amitabh Bachchan, who played the lead role in Ram Gopal Verma's Nishabd, wrote, "T 1128 -WHAT ...!!! Jiah Khan ??? what has happened ? is this correct ? unbelievable !!!

Ram Gopal Varma, who launched the actress in Nishabd, expressed his grief over the news. 

'The last time I met her jiah told me that everyone around her makes her feel like a failure. Inspite of being highly appreciated in Nishabd nd being a part of hugely successful Ghazni and Houseful she had no work for the last 3 years,' he tweeted.

'I dont know the reason what led to this but jiah was very depressed about her career and scared for her future,' he added.

Ritiesh Deshmukh, who worked wuth the late actress in Sajid Khan's 2010 comedy Housefull, posted: "Worked with Jiah in Housefull- she was full of life n had incredible sense of humour. She was a friend n will miss her. Am deeply saddened

'Nobody should be in so much pain'

Farah Khan who had worked with her in Housefull wrote: 'CAN'T register that jiah is no more..worked with her in Housefull n she was so beautiful n such a good soul.2 young 2 go jiah.'

Anupam Kher, who had also worked with Jiah, wrote: 'Jiah Khan was full of life when i worked with her long time back. So sad that something drove her to take this extreme step.RIP.'

Sudhir Mishra: 'When someone commits suicide all u can lament is d fact that there was no one to help d girl n hold her hand so that she cud get thru d nite. Suicide is often a split second decision n most people who commit suicide tell their friends that they plan to.'
