Family time
There cannot be a better way to welcome the New Year than with your loved ones. And Amitabh Bachchan, who celebrated with his entire family in Goa, knows it just too well.

The soon-to-be-married Lara Dutta celebrated New Year's Eve with Mahesh Bhupathi in Goa. She tweeted, 'gd 2 B back home,2 the wagging tails & slurping tongues of my doggies!All that's missing is their dad,but he gotta play the Chennai Open :-)'
Preity Zinta had an amazing time in Las Vegas. 'I had a great new year wid friends n family! Hung out with my grandma, cousins & nieces! 4 generations together! Warne-Hurley flirt on twitter
The Shane Warne-Elizabeth Hurley romance may be far from over. The two exchanged quite a few messages on twitter over the weekend.
Initiating the conversation, Warne asked Hurley if she had any good New Year resolutions. To which she responded, 'Lots of them and they all begin with Start or Stop..'
When Warne asked what she meant, she replied, 'You're being blonde...as in Stop eating sweeties and Start doing sit ups xx'
Their banter didn't stop here.
She went on: 'I didn't mean u to stop eating sweeties & do sit ups-they're my resolutions. I know you're a salad eating gym bunny by nature xx.'
Warne replied: 'Enjoy rabbit food me - not!!! Enjoy NYE with Damian...' He was of course referring to Hurley's son.
Sporting buffs
Hurley is not the only celeb warming up to sports.
Football fan Abhishek Bachchan seemed delighted at Chelsea's fighting spirits. 'Despite the outcome. Great game of football. Well played villa, and great fighting spirit Chelsea,' he tweeted.
Arbaaz Khan was up early to watch cricket. 'Usman khawaja the first asian origin cricketer makes his debut for Australia replacing an injured Ricky Ponting. Up early to watch him bat!' he tweeted, adding, 'Rush of blood. Khawaja plays a rash shot, gets out. Made 37 good runs. Great talent. Definitely future Australian player. Well done boy :)'
Similarly, Rahul Bose was also watching cricket: 'Absorbing day's cricket. Fine bowling, watchful batting, great weather (now), swing, good wicket, great crowd. test cricket rules!'
Yana's box of presents
Famous for his wit and humour, Amitabh Bachchan tweeted, 'First day first show and first of the new decade ! How we love these moments - new year, new decade, new beginning - but new mind ??'
Yana was caught in a naughty and humorous mood as well. 'And thx for all the boxes of panties I've got for xmass...now my new year can start safely!!:-) ha ha...'
