Bollywood actor Anupam Kher may not have been nominated for Oscars, but he was present at the award ceremony to cheer for his film Silver Linings Playbook which was nominated in eight categories.
'All Roads in LA lead to Oscars today. My heart & my prayers are only with Silver Linings Playbook. May we win big. So say JAI HO to us.:)' he tweeted.
However, Silver Linings Playbook won only one Oscar in Best Actress category out of eight nominations. 'Congratulations to Jeniffer Lawrence for winning Best Actress Oscar for SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK. She is unassuming and AMAZING.' Kher updated.
He shared a picture of the Oscar cake from his hotel and added: 'Thank You everyone at Hotel Beverly Wilshire for sending me such a beautiful Cake. What a Warm Hearted Gesture.'
He later posted a picture from the red carpet and wrote: 'You may not see me on the Red Carpet. But here is me in my suit made specially by Burberry.:)'
Kher, who played the role Dr. Patel in Silver Linings Playbook, also congratulated Ang Lee and other winners and wrote: 'Congratulations to the entire team of Life Of Pi and to the Genius called Ang Lee. Proud to have worked with him. Congratulations to All the Winners tonite at Oscars. What a Splendid show. It is so wonderful to see nominees cheering for each other. And finally THANKS to Everyone related to SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK from day one to today. This has been of the BEST journeys of my career.'
The 57-year -old actor also met Die Hard actor Bruce Willis. 'Bruce Willis was happy to see an equally good looking man from India. He was warm & Hilarious,' he posted with a picture of them together.
Ang Lee's 'Namaste' charms Bollywood!

Life Of Pi director Ang Lee who won the Oscars for the best director congratulated his Indian cast and crew before ending his speech with a Namaste.

Filmmaker Farah Khan feels Indian award shows should take some things from Oscars. 'Sm things bollywood award shows shld take frm the Oscars.60 second acceptance speeches! V really dn't want 2 hear ur life flashing b4 r eyes,' she tweeted.
Music composer Salim Merchant tweeted: 'I wish we didnt have so many awards in our country. Our film fraternity and all of us would then speak of filmfare too like the Oscars.'
