Aamir Khan, who has been championing the cause of social issues, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 23 in Delhi to discuss the problems which he highlights in his television show Satyamev Jayate.
The 49-year-old actor later said the Prime Minister assured him that he would look into the issues raised by him.
'Just came out of my meeting with Honorable Prime Minister of India Shree Narendra Modiji. Was very kind of him to spare his valuable time. Shared with him the overwhelming support that we got from people across the country through 'Vote for Change' campaign on SMJ (Satyamev Jayate) on the various issues that we tackled in our show. He has assured me that he will look into all the matters,' Aamir said in a series of tweets later.
The Vote for Change episode, which was aired in the run up to the last Lok Sabha elections, focused on criminalisation of politics in India while urging the voters to cast their votes to make a difference.
The Prime Minister's Office described the meeting in Modi's office in South Block as a 'courtesy call.'
Looks like the actor is keen on a patch-up.

Amitabh Bachchan to cameo in Ghoomketu

Amitabh Bachchan recently shot with director Pushpendra Mishra for his upcoming with Ghoomketu.
'Did a days cameo for Vikramaditya Motwane's produced film, under orders from Anurag Kashyap .. film "Ghoomketu".. a joy !!' Bachchan updated.
Meanwhile, he shot the promo for the latest season of game show Kaun Banega Crorepati. 'Shooting for KBC promos done entire day .. now waiting for some interesting action on this game .. but .. not coming at all!' he added.
Ghoomketu also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Anurag Kashyap.
Preity Zinta apologises to media

Preity Zinta, who has filed a police complaint against former boyfriend Ness Wadia, returned from USA and apologised to the media for not commenting on the issue as the investigation is on.
'Exhausted but happy to finally be back home in Mumbai. I'd like to apologize to the media but it will not be possible for me to make any comments or statements as this investigation is still on. Pls co operate & PLEASE don't call my staff or friends non stop as they have requested me to make this appeal to you all on their behalf. Thank you,' the 39-year-old actress tweeted.
Ajay Devgn shoots for Singham Returns in Hyderabad

Ajay Devgn, who is currently busy shooting the last leg of his upcoming film Singham Returns, shared a picture from from the sets.
'Been an action packed journey so far. Shooting in Hyderabad now, I can't believe #SinghamReturns shoot is almost over,' he tweeted.
Directed by Rohit Shetty, the film also stars Kareena Kapoor and will release on August 15.
