Here's what your favourite Bollywood celebrities are tweeting.

Mallika Sherawat used her time in Cannes to point fingers at the country that made her a star.

In an interview to a foreign magazine at Cannes, the Murder 3 actress said that India is a 'regressive' country and a 'depressing' place to be.

She claimed she was the first Indian actress to kiss as well as wear a bikini on screen. That, she said made her 'instantly' a 'fallen woman' and a 'superstar'.

In a heavy accent, Mallika claimed India was a hypocritical society, where the women were at the bottom of society.

Naturally, her comments didn't go down well with the Twitter community, who slammed her.

Mallika defended her stance and tweeted: 'Th state of women is regressive wt Rapes evday!!'

'I said Whats happening to women in India is regressive and depressing and I stand by it #RAPE,' she added.
