Anthoo Inthoo: Well made

Veera Shankar's Kannada film Anthoo Inthoo Preethi Banthu has some decent performances and good technical work. The film is the remake of Selvaraghavan's Telugu film Aadavalla Maatalukku Arthaale Verule, starring Venkatesh and Trisha.

AIPB's story has its engaging as well as dull moments. Veera Shankar has incorporated some changes in the story, and introduced characters like Rangayana Raghu.

AIPB carries a youthful look, unlike the original Telugu film. But some of its dialogues have been directly translated from Telugu. Songs have also been lifted from the original. In fact, the film has the look and feel of a Telugu film.

The story revolves around Shivu, a computer engineer, who cannot land a job. He finally gets a job in a firm where he meets his tough boss Preethi. Preethi is a workaholic and a no-nonsense woman. But soon, Shivu and Preethi get drawn to each other.

Debutant Adithya Babu is no Venkatesh and Ramya has not been able to match the histrionics of Trisha. Babu looks good, and plays his character convincingly. But he succeeds to do so in the second half only slightly. Veteran artists Sreenivasa Murthy, Lokanath, Mandya Ramesh and Rangayana Raghu look convincing.

H C Venu's brilliant cinematography is the highlight of the film. Editing could have been crisper. On the whole, it is a well made film.
