Shruti Indira Lakshminarayana reviews the Kannada film Eno Onthara. Post YOUR reviews here.

Tamil's Kushi comes to Kannada as Eno Onthara without much cosmetic changes. Directed by 'Mussanje' Mahesh, the film has Ganesh and Priyamani in the lead.

Surya (Ganesh) and Madhu (Priyamani), two egoistic individuals, fall in love. Repeated arguments, however, strain their relationship and the two decide to part ways. But their mission to unite two friends who are in love force them to hang around each other for a while. Will their relationship get a second chance?

With the director not having bothered to play around with the story or narration, the film, which has come to Kannada after a gap of 10 years, offers nothing exciting. Landlines and love letters are still in use here. Also romantic and comic situations which are spoofed today are still central to this film's plot.

The second half is a good time to take a nap, and not just if you have watched the Tamil, Telugu or Hindi versions of Kushi and Sudeep-starrer Chandu. If you push yourself to hold on till the climax, you'll find that it just contributes to your headache.

The script gives Ganesh little scope to break free from his happy-go-lucky image and come out with an improved performance. Sharan's slapstick comedy fails to impress.

Priyamani makes the most of the character offered to her. She emotes right and delivers her dialogues well.

The dialogues lack punch and the music is not out of the box, barring Dil Kush, which is soothing.

A film that could have been an ideal family entertainer lands up being an outdated attempt. Eno Onthara has nothing fresh to offer even to Ganesh's fans. The wait for this film was definitely not worth it.
