Parwana is an Ajay Devgan film all the way.
Somewhere along the line -- the film was in the making for four years, and it shows -- Deepak Bahry, who is credited with the story, direction and production, lost control.
So he decided to focus on Ajay Devgan. Which, in retrospect, is not such a bad idea. Devgan has matured into an actor who can comfortably carry a film on his shoulders. If Parwana runs, the credit will belong to him.
As for the story, it is the usual mishmash -- a fistful of Kashmiri terrorists, a pinch of across-the-border evil-doers who want to destroy Hindustan, a couple of bombs 'that will shake both heaven and earth', spiced with songs, Devgan-style action, and dialogues that appeal to the frontbencher. Eventually, good aka Devgan triumphs even over a slightly unbelievable climax.
In the end, let the Lord -- as Kader Khan says in the film -- and Ajay Devgan -- as Deepak Bahry must be praying -- save the day for Parwana.
