Ganesha directed by Dinesh Baboo is a surprise gift from a competent team comprising Dinesh Baboo and lead artistes Jaggesh and Anant Nag.

They have delivered an entertaining film despite budget constraints, and Ganesha could definitely be called a director's film despite the presence of talented artists like Jaggesh, Anant Nag and Rangayana Raghu. The way he has crafted the situations featuring Jaggesh and Sharan are noteworthy.

The story goes like this -- A father becomes a ghost who prevents his son from selling the ancestral house. Though the situation may look illogical, Babu makes it all believable on screen. His sensitive handling of the sentimental sequences will touch your heartstrings. At the same time the comic situations will make you laugh. However, the pace in the first half is a bit slow. That said, there are several interesting twists in the film to keep the audience glued to the screen.

Ganesha is a film where Jaggesh's potential as an actor is fully exploited. He has terrific comic timing and has acted well considering the fact that he is sharing screen space with Anant Nag.

Ganesha will certainly pave the way for other meaningful roles. Anant Nag enlivens the film as the ghost. Ajay, Rangayana Raghu, Vanitha Vasu and Sharan have all delivered excellent performances.

Technically, the film is ordinary which is surprising because Dinesh Baboo is a top class cameraman. Manikanth Kadri's music is above average.

Watch the film for the performances of Jaggesh and Anant Nag, and Dinesh Baboo's deft handling of the project. You can enjoy every moment of it.
