Exactly a year ago, movie theatres shut down when the pandemic struck.
Twelve months later, cinema halls are being opened with 100 per cent occupancy being allowed in various states.
Bollywood's happy, of course, and that explains why there are as many as 10 theatre releases this month.
Roohi
Release date: March 11
Roohi, starring Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Sharma, is on the same lines as the horror comedy Stree.
Stree Producer Dinesh Vijan's Angrezi Medium was the last release before the lockdown and Roohi will be the first big one exactly a year later.
Time To Dance
Release date: March 12
It was a while ago that Sooraj Pancholi completed the dance film, Time To Dance.
We will finally see Katrina Kaif's little sister Isabelle make her big screen debut.
There has been zero promotion for the film and it makes one wonder the kind of release strategy adopted by the makers.
Fauji Calling
Release date: March 12
Sharman Joshi plays the leading man in Fauji Calling which, as the name suggests, is the story of a soldier and the sacrifices made by him and his family.
Also starring Vikram Singh, Bidita Bag, Mugdha Godse and Zarina Wahab in key roles, the film -- directed by Aaryaan Saxena -- is being pitched as a heartwarming affair for family audiences.
Mumbai Saga
Release date: March 19
It had seemed that the John Abraham starrer would travel straight to OTT, but the decision has been reversed and now, the action drama will release in theatres.
Directed by Sanjay Gupta, Mumbai Saga promises a lot of action from John.
Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar
Release date: March 19
Ready for a couple of years, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar finally releases this month.
Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra reunite after Ishaqzaade in this film directed by Dibakar Banerjee.
Though Yash Raj Films is backing it up, this fun-on-the-run film is seeing low key promotions.
Flight
Release date: March 19
Flight sure has a thrilling trailer!
Featuring Mohit Chadda in the lead role, this 'action in the sky' film reminds one of similar adrenalin-pumping films like Hollywood's 7500 and the Chinese film The Captain.
The makers have added masala elements to diminish the claustrophobia attached to the genre.
Haathi Mere Saathi
Release date: March 26
This fun family film arrived in Tamil and Telugu first.
It's a modern day man-animal love story with Rana Daggubati and Pulkit Samrat in lead roles.
Shriya Pilgaonkar and Zoya Hussain are the leading ladies.
Saina
Release date: March 26
Parineeti Chopra, seen last week in The Girl On The Train, will have two theatrical releases this month: Saina and Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar.
Amole Gupta directs this Saina Nehwal biopic. Saina, of course, is the Olympic bronze medalist-winning badminton ace.
Koi Jaane Naa
Release date: March 26
A psychological thriller, Koi Jaane Naa went on the floors a couple of years ago and will finally see a theatrical arrival.
Directed by Amin Hajee (remember the mute drummer from Lagaan?), the film features Kunal Kapoor and Amyra Dastur in lead roles.
The makers will also unveil a special music video that Aamir Khan has done for the film with Elli AvrRam.
