Miss World 2017 Manushi Chillar, who celebrated her birthday on May 14, has to wait longer for her big Bollywood debut.
There were reports that Chillar would make her debut opposite Akshay Kumar in the historical, Prithviraj Chauhan, but a source close to the project dismisses it.
"The lady you mention has not been considered, let alone approached for Prithviraj Chauhan. So far the project only has director Chandraprakash Dwivedi and Akshay Kumar on board. The lead actress has not been discussed but it will unlikely be a newcomer,” says the source.
Chillar’s debut, the source said, is quite a way off.
The lady has met directors but she is not inclined to plunge into Bollywood yet.
Traditionally, beauty queens have aimed at Bollywood, sometimes successfully (Aishwarya Rai, Sushmita Sen, Priyanka Chopra, Lara Dutt) and sometimes unsuccessfully (Yukta Mookhey, Pooja Gupta and Sonal Chauhan).
It's only a matter of time before Chillar makes that transition from ramp to screen.
Whether she shares the screen with Akshay or not, we couldn't help but wonder if they would make a good jodi.
