Mammootty in VarshamMammootty has already had six releases this year, of which only two films-- Manglish and Munnariyippu gave him some reason to smile.

His last release, Rajadhi Raja was a rehash of some Tamil and Telugu movies.

Now the superstar is reportedly banking on Ranjit Sankar’s Varsham, which will hit the screens on November 6.

Mammootty plays a businessman named Venu, who is married to Nandini, played by Asha Sarath. The couple has a son, who is a college student. Certain unprecedented happenings in the life of the couple take the story ahead.

Mamta Mohandas plays a doctor named Jayasree, who has a definite influence on the life of the couple as they go through some trying times.

Varsham is produced under the banner of Play House. Manoj Pillai is the cinematographer and Biji Bal is the music director.
