Known for its penchant for definitions, Hollywood had once, rather naively, termed Hindi films as musicals. And we can't really blame them.
Bollywood has had a very rich history of song and dance sequences as integral and commercially viable aspects of films. And down the line, we've come across great performers who created magic onscreen with their dancing skills.
In the early days, it was essentially actresses who got to show their dancing skills in films. But we witnessed the advent of dancing heroes with Mithun Chakraborty and Jeetendra.
And now, as we fondly remember Hema Malini, Helen and Madhuri Dixit for making cinema so colourful, the current crop of actors -- Hrithik Roshan, Shahid Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra and the likes are cooking up a storm.
