Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan is known for his angry young man roles, like the ones in Bangalore Days and Neelaksham Pachakkadal Chuvanna Bhoomi.
He will now be seen in a more serious avatar in Njan, directed by Ranjith.
Njan releases this weekend. It is based on writer T P Rajeevan’s novel titled K T N Kottoor: Ezhuthum Jeevithavum. It’s a period film set in the 1930s and 40s.
Others in the cast are Anumol, Sruthy Ramachandran, Joy Mathew, Saiju Kurup, Jyothi Krishna, Hareesh Peradi and Chinnu Kuruvilla.
Njan is produced by Gold Coin Motion Picture Company. The music is by Bijibal and camerawork by Manoj Pillai.
