Movie legends never die.

They live on in their movies, in our memories, even on the streets.

Five years after Pransaab passed into the ages, a chowk on upscale Carter Road, Bandra, north west Mumbai, has been named after him.

The chowk was named on Sunday, August 26, and the inauguration was attended by Jackie Shroff and members of Pransaab's family.

The project took after Pransaab's daughter Pinky Bhalla and sons Sunil and Arvind Sikand felt a site should be named after their legendary father.

They applied to the BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation for permission, a process guided by lawyer and Congress politician Asif Zakaria whose elder brother Arif Zakaria is the well-known actor.

Six months later, it was ready.

Pransaab lived close to the chowk, in the nearby Pali Hill area.
