Just three days after Bigg Boss 15 premiered on television, Vidhi Pandya has already gotten into a war of words with Afsana Khan.

Yet, just before entering the house, the actress, who has worked in television shows like Udaan, Tum Aise Hi Rehna and Ek Duje Ke Vaaste 2 was "excited, nervous and scared" about her first reality show.

"I always thought that I am a misfit for this kind of show because of the fights and controversies," she tells Rediff.com Senior Contributor Rajul Hegde.

Bigg Boss is your first reality show.

Yes, I am excited, nervous and scared.

I don't know what will happen.

My heart beats fast every time I think of it.

I am a strong person, but darpok in real life.

I always thought that I am a misfit for this kind of show because of the fights and controversies.

I am a private person; I need my personal space and I take time to make friends.

I will have to put all my emotions out there on the show.

So a lot of thoughts are running inside my head.

What made you take up Bigg Boss?

I was in talks for the show a couple of years ago, but it didn't work out because I wasn't prepared then.

Now I am 24 and mentally strong to deal with situations and people.

Plus, this show will help me lift my career.

I have been in the industry for about five years. I feel I should gain more than what I have achieved on the professional front.

Bigg Boss either makes or breaks your career. So the ball is in my court now.

Who has been your favourite contestant from the earlier seasons?

I am a big fan of season 13 because of Siddharth Shukla.

I didn't know him personally.

Though I had a small role in Balika Vadhu, I never got a chance to meet him or have a scene with him.

But I have been his fan ever since I watched him on Bigg Boss.

I liked the rage in his personality, his funny side and his romance with Shehnaaz Gill.

His anger seemed justified in the show.

I still watch videos of SidNaaz on social media.

Even though he is no more, his memory is so fresh that it makes me smile.

Bigg Boss and controversies go hand in hand. How comfortable are you with it?

I will be honest with you. Firstly, I have not seen that kind of popularity.

Secondly, I have not done any reality show before, so I have no idea about these things.

We don't know what is going to happen in the house.

I am going to pave my path, fight for the right reasons and to be strong throughout the journey.

Half the battle is won when you are mentally strong.

Have you met host Salman Khan before?

Yes. Meeting Salman sir is every girl's dream.

No matter how much he ages, he is the most wanted munda.

A lot of people say yes to the show only because of him.

I am a big fan of his and excited to meet him on the show and click a picture with him.

How will you style yourself inside the house?

Bigg Boss is about making style statements.

I have hired a stylist, but I prefer comfortable clothes like pajamas and a tee-shirt.

I love ethnic clothes.

I am going to experiment in the house.

But I have no problems in sacrificing my clothes and makeup for the tasks.

I am not excited about that part (dressing up and wearing make-up).

I have been giving all my interviews with no make up and all my acne (laughs).
