April 17, 2008 18:22 IST

Uma Thurman, Minnie Driver and Anthony Edwards have signed on to star in Katherine Dieckmann's indie comedy Motherhood.

The day-in-the-life feature, written and directed by Dieckmann, has Thurman as a harried mother of two preparing for her daughter's sixth birthday party as myriad urban challenges confront her.

Edwards will play Thurman's husband, while Driver is set to play her best friend, reports Variety.

The film will have a 25-day shooting schedule in May with an estimated 10 million dollar budget.

The New York location shoot gave producers the chance to take advantage of the 35 percent tax incentives.

Motherhood is produced by Pamela Koffler and Christine Vachon for Killer Films and Jana Edelbaum and Rachel Cohen for Ideal Partners Film Fund.

John Wells will serve as the executive producer.
