Can't get enough of television? Grab your weekly buzz right here! Here's the gossip from the industry.

Remember Gaurav Chopraa? The handsome guy seen in serials like Saara Akash, Lavanya, Piya ka Ghar and Dil Kya Chahata Hai on Star One, is back after a sabbatical of almost 10 months. Was he out of work? Not really, because he was also seen doing John Abraham's role in the MTV spoof Ghoom. He was also busy doing shows in South Africa. Apparently, one of them, Bombay Crush, set a record with 102 performances.

Chopraa is back on the small screen and has apparently agreed to play a role in Manish Goswami's prime time show Aisa Desh Hai Mera. He will be playing Rusty's (Saumya Tandon) love interest and feels his entry will change the flavour of the serial completely.

Now, isn't that something the audience should decide, Gaurav?

Soni RazdanIt appears to be comeback time on television. Like Chopraa, veteran actress Sony Razdan is also returning with Sony's Aisa Desh Hai Mera.

Playing the character of Linda, she will be paired opposite Kanwaljeet. Linda is Kanwaljeet's estranged wife returning from London.

Why the boob tube again? "This was a good offer that came my way and it was a very impulsive decision," says Razdan.

The actress says she is also writing a script. We have heard of writers who take sabbaticals to concentrate on the script they are writing. Now, here's someone making a comeback while writing a script. As Charles Darwin said – no two humans are alike!

Mohnish BehlIt's celebration time on the sets of Ek Ladki Anjana Si. Despite the monsoons and flash floods in the country, there's no stopping Nikhil and Ananya from tying the knot.

Everybody was so busy preparing for the marriage that they forgot to inform Mohnish Behl (Veer in the serial) about the shoot. It is only after everyone was ready for the shot that they realised Mohnish was missing.

Worse, Mohnish was at a location where his mobile signal was poor.
After innumerable attempts, the production executives finally managed to inform him about the shoot.
It was raining heavily and chances of Behl making it were bleak. But, like a true hero, he started for the location braving all odds. Not only did he drive straight down to the sets, but also shot all night to complete the schedule.

Pawan ShankarNow, here's something more impressive. Indian tele stars judging the Emmy Awards is old news.

What's new is that Pawan Shankar's show Siddhant has been nominated to the final round of the 34th International Emmy Awards in the Drama category and will compete with international shows in the finals on November 20 in New York.

Pawan is, understandably, very excited. "An Emmy for a TV serial is as good as an Oscar for a film. So, naturally, I am thrilled. I am sure Siddhant will make us all proud in New York very soon."

Priya BadlaniPriya Badlani (Anya Shroff in Jab Love Hua) seems to be hurting people left, right and centre. First, she hurt Sudip Sahir (Raghu) a few days ago, now it is Mohit Malik (Rahul).

Before you jump to conclusions, this has nothing to do with Cupid's arrow. On the contrary, she hurt her co-actors while rehearsing dance steps with them.

Priya stepped on Sudip Sahir's toes, and also kicked him unintentionally. However, Malik's case was different. Priya's chiffon dress had some metal objects that hit him and bruised his hands while she was practicing her steps!

Abhijeet SawantA rumour doing the rounds was that Abhijeet Sawant, the first Indian Idol, had signed a movie and was all set to launch his career as a film star.

What added credibility to the rumour was fellow-contestant Amit Tandon's success as Manthan in Kyun Ki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. When the singer was contacted, we were told he was out of town doing shows. However, on contacting his manager, it was found that the rumour was just that -- a rumour.

"Abhijeet is concentrating on his singing career and has not signed any film," was all his manager had to say.
