Even as the streaming space becomes very popular, television is still launching its shows in style.

Star Plus's new show Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampanna was launched at a 1,000-year-old temple on the outskirts of Udaipur.

And there is a reason for it.

The Sahastrabahu temple or the Harisadanam temple is dedicated to mothers-in-law and daughters-in-law, and the relationship they share.

It is said the temple was constructed by King Mahipala of the Kachchhwaha dynasty in the 10th century.

Ek Bhram Sarvagunn Sampanna revolves around Jhanvi Mittal, an 'ideal' daughter-in-law, who plots against her in-laws.

"Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampanna is a different show and our launch compliments the thought, as we visited the saas-bahu temple in Udaipur," says Shrenu Parikh, who plays Jhanvi.

"The temple is an iconic symbol of the relationship between a daughter and mother-in-law, and that is exactly what our show thrives on."

Shrenu will be paired opposite Zain Imam, who plays Kabir Mittal.

Zain made his television debut with Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan, and was later seen in shows like Tashan-E-Ishq, Yeh Vaada Raha, Naamkarann and Laal Ishq.

"Awards are secondary to me," says Zain. "what is more important is the love from your fans. If your fans like your work, half the job is done."

Fans attended the show's launch to catch a glimpse of the stars.

One fan has tattooed Zain's name on her wrist, taking the actor by surprise.

"I try to stay grounded as much as possible," Zain says, still startled by the fan's gesture.

Shrenu, who hails from Vadodara, has many memories associated with Udaipur.

"When I was a child, I used to visit Udaipur often since this is the nearest tourist location from Vadodara. We would also travel to Nathdwara to seek the blessings at the Shreenathji temple."

Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampanna airs Monday to Friday on Star Plus.
