Akshay Kumar used the occasion of Raksha Bandhan to announce his next film titled...well, Raksha Bandhan!

The actor dedicated it to his sister Alka Hiranandani -- who is cited as one of the producers -- and posted on Instagram: 'Hardly ever in life does one come across a story that touches your heart so deeply and so instantly...it's the quickest I've signed a film in my career.'

'Dedicating this film, #RakshaBandhan to my dear sister, Alka and to the most special bond in the world...that of a brother and sister.'

Directed by Aanand L Rai, ‪Raksha Bandhan is written by Himanshu Sharma.

It will release in theatres on November 5, 2021.‬
