Shah Rukh Khan is all set to fulfill one of his fondest dreams -- releasing his autobiography -- titled Twenty Years In A Decade, soon. Penning his experiences and thoughts, SRK takes his fans through his decade-long journey from 1991-2001 in this book.
"I have written a book and it's complete now. I will ask my writer friends to edit it so that I can release it. I have been writing it over the last ten years. It is titled Twenty Years In A Decade because I feel that in ten years I have lived a life of 20 years between 1991-2001. The book is about positivity, hope and it is also funny, just like me. I have written things about my life in the most fun way," Shah Rukh said.
The 45-year-old actor says his favourite chapter is the one that talks about his parents. "One of my favourite chapters in the book is which talks about my mother and father... which I completed in almost eight pages."
When asked whether he would take up screenplay writing, the actor said, "I think anyone can write a story but it is difficult to write a screenplay. Though I do provide inputs in all my films but I don't think I can write a full script."
SRK revealed his book plans during the launch of Bombay Duck Is A Fish, a book by Kanika Dhillon at Taj Lands End in Bandra, a western Mumbai suburb.
The book promises to be a delightful piece about a young girl forsaking a coveted job at an MNC to come to Mumbai to be a film-maker. She takes inspiration from none other than Shah Rukh Khan who made it big in the industry without any contacts, influence or even a star-studded last name, much like her.
Kanika works for SRK's production house Red Chillies Entertainment and has a long standing relationship with him. She was an assistant director on Farah Khan's film Om Shanti Om and was one of the scriptwriters for Ra.One, Shah Rukh's upcoming superhero movie.
