Vanakkam Chennai is Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi's debut film as a director in Tamil. Her husband, Udhayanidhi Stalin, a well-known producer is producing this film under his banner, Red Giant Movies.
Kiruthiga won the best director award at the Jaipur International Film festival for her short film, Life.
Vanakkam Chennai written by Kiruthiga has Mirchi Siva and Priya Anand and Santhanam playing the lead roles.
Anirudh of Kolaveri fame is the music director.
