First look: Ravi Teja, Shruti Haasan in Balupu

Director Gopichand Malineni and hero Ravi Teja team up again after Don Seenu for Balupu produced by Prasad V Potluri under the PVP Cinemas banner.

The duo had a hit earlier, in 2010, and later Malineni went on to helm the Telugu remake of the Malayalam film Bodyguard (also titled the same) with Venkatesh and Trisha in the lead.

The two heroines of Balupu are Shruti Haasan and Anjali.

Balupu is the first Telugu film to be shot in Portugal. Some of the songs were shot in the capital Lisbon and in southern Portugal. But most of the film was shot in Hyderabad and Vizag.

Thaman SS scores the music. The audio of the film was released on June 1. Ravi Teja has sung a song in the film.

Kona Venkat and K S Ravindra have written the story and Malineni has written the screenplay. Jayanan Vincent is the cinematographer, A S Prakash the art director and Goutham Raju the editor.

Balupu is slated to release on June 28.
