Janhvi Kapoor turns 22 today, March 6.
The young actress celebrated her birthday a day earlier in Varanasi with dad Boney Kapoor and younger sister Khushi Kapoor.
Janhvi, who is shooting for Director Sharan Sharma's biopic on the Indian Air Force lady pilot Gunjan Saxena, drove to Varanasi from Lucknow after the day's shoot so she could see the Ganga aarti and pray at the Kashi Vishwanath temple.
Janhvi wanted to visit Tirupati which her late mother Sridevi visited every year on her birthday.
Janhvi wanted to worship at Tirupati, but since arrangements could not be made in time, she deferred that plan to next week.
Family and friends took to social media to wish Janhvi.
Sharing a cute throwback picture on her Instagram account, Sonam Kapoor wrote, 'Happy happy birthday baby jannu... all my love baby girl... keep smiling your gorgeous smile.. @janhvikapoor'.
Maheep Kapoor also posted nostalgic pix and wrote on her Insta feed, 'Happy birthday my darling @janhvikapoor #WishYouThBestAlways #ShineBright'.
Celebrity stylist Tanya Ghavri shared a candid click on her Insta feed and wished Janhvi, saying, '@janhvikapoor we need more pictures together! Until thennnnn we can both do our "laugh naturally" pose where we end up looking like this...happy happy birthday fellow nutter I love you to the moon and back! You are and will remain my special baby for reasons I can't put in words..have the happiest day and year sending you loads of love'.
Wishing Jahnavi on Instagram, mentor Manish Malhotra wrote, 'Happy happy birthday my dearest @janhvikapoor #blessings #wishes #love always for you'.
Sara Ali Khan, who is often pitted by the media against Janhvi, posted an Instapic and wrote, 'Happiest birthday @janhvikapoor. Have an amazing day and a wonderful year ahead'.
Posting an Insta pic in response, Jahnavi wrote, 'Thankful & grateful. For all your love and blessings. For every opportunity. For my family. For my country. Love you all'.
