Nine shows to watch out for after IPL

There are speculations that there will be at least 55 new shows since the time IPL has ended. We are not sure that 55 shows is the right number but we bring to you TV shows that are lined up on different channels in the coming two weeks.

So the long and seemingly never ending Indian Premiere League has finally ended. This means a new crop of television shows will now go on air and hope to garner ratings that so far were being hogged by IPL. We bring you nine such shows that are all set to catch your attention.

X factor

Sony launched the Indian version of music mogul Simon Cowell's singing reality show X factor which premiered on Sunday. It kick started the auditions in Ahmedabad Kolkata Lucknow, Indore and Mumbai.

The auditions will be telecast everyday until June 4. Once the 'Gala round' begins it will be a bi-weekly. The contestants on this show will have mentors and there will be performances by duets, solo and groups.

The show features singers Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghoshal and filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali as the judges.

Bade Acche Lagte Hain

Bade Acche Lagte Hain a fiction show which brings back popular small screen actors Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar.

Supposedly Ekta's dream project, Bade Acche Laggte Hai is story of two strangers, 30-plus happy go lucky woman and a 40 year old business tycoon and the two different worlds they live in.

The show brings two people together, who have very different ideologies and shows how they fall in love after getting married.

Hamari Saas Leela

Time: Monday to Friday 7 PM

Actress Apara Mehta plays the eponymous saas who is practical and modern who believes that every person has the right to choose his or her life partner. But circumstances change her views drastically which leads her in taking the step of finding the perfect bride for her sons.

Hamari Saas Leela is a show about her journey in scouting for the perfect brides, who will be a reflection of her own.

Ratan Ka Rishta

Time: Monday to Friday 8 PM, Saturday -10 PM

The stage is set for Ratan Rajput to choose her life partner on TV reality show Ratan Ka Rishta. Ratan shot to fame playing the protagonist in hit soaps like Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo and Radha Ki Betiyan.

Will we see Ratan Ka Rishta end with a grand marriage ceremony like Rahul Mahajan's wedding in the previous season, or like Rakhi Sawant's broken engagement?

Khatron Ke Khiladi Torchaar 4

Akshay Kumar is back as host to torment lady contestants. While Kumar was the host in the first two seasons of Fear Factor Khatron Ke Khiladi, Priyanka Chopra had anchored the show in the third edition.

The shooting for the fourth season took place in Cape Town, South Africa.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs Season 4

Time: Friday to Saturday at 10pm

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs, season 4 this time is called Music ka Gurucool with musicians Kailash Kher, Adnan Sami and Javed Ali as the judges and singer Alka Yagnik as the mahaguru.

Jay Soni has been roped in anchor the show along with kiddie hosts of last season, Afsha Musani and Dhairya Sonecha.

Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega, Season 4

The channel is back with the new edition of Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega. Here the contestants will have to prove their talents beyond singing and dancing. Anu Maleik and Farah Khan will judge the show this time too.

However Farah Kahn who was seen in the last season will be present in the show only for a few episodes as she has committed to another channel. There have been reports that she will be replaced by Navjot Singh Sidhu.

India's Most Desirable

Simi Garewal returns as chat show host with a multi-colored wardrobe. The chat show features most desirable actors who talk about their single hood status and much more.

Some of the guests that feature on her show include Freida Pinto, Sonakshi Sinha, Shahid Kapur, John Abraham Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor, Abhay doel, Ranveer Singh and Siddharth Mallya.

Another surprise in the show is supposed to be Munisha Khatwani's tarot reading.

Kaun Banega Crorepati 5 (KBC)

Starts from: 15 August

KBC will be back with its favourite host Amitabh Bachchan. Phone lines are open now and the show is expected to start on Independence Day.
