Meet the gorgeous former Kingfisher model who's set to make her acting debut with Mehra's next film.
After months of intensive search, Bhaag Milkh Bhaag director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra has finally found a leading lady for his new film -- a love story titled Mirza Sahibaan.
Saiyami Kher, a former Kingfisher model who is the niece of actress Tanvi Azmi and granddaughter of yesteryear actress Usha Kiran, has been roped in to play the female lead in the film opposite Anil Kapoor's son Harshvardhan, who is making his acting debut with Mirza Sahibaan along with Saiyami.
"We have selected Saiyami for her ability to project the strength, turmoil, and resolve of the character and not because of her acting lineage.
"Just like Harshvardhan, it didn't matter where Saiyami came from. She had to prove herself capable of carrying off the character," Mehra revealed.

The search for Mehra's Sahibaan wasn't easy, the director reveals.
"We searched for our Sahibaan for months.
"We finally shortlisted three girls, all promising candidates for the part. We put all three under rigorous training. Saiyami had an edge over the other two but I know the other girls are also going to be big in Bollywood," he said.

Meanwhile, Saiyami's celebrity aunts Tanvi Azmi and Shabana Azmi seemed unaware of the big news.
"I knew she was being considered for the part but I was't aware she has been selected. That's terrific news," Tanvi beamed.

Saiyami, who had been looking for a break in the Hindi film industry for two years now, has starred in a Telugu film titled Rey with Ram Charan's nephew Sai Dharam.
The young debutante is the daughter of former model and pageant queen Uttara Mhatre Kher and Adwait Kher (Usha Kiran's son).
