Despite a foot injury -- Veena twisted her ankle and broke a toe nail -- Veena continued to shoot for her new film, Silk Sakkath Maga. This is the Kannada version of Vidya Balan's award-winning film The Dirty Picture.

Talking about the shoot, Veena said, "I am very happy that I completed my song on schedule after getting injured. It was very difficult for me to shoot, as it was painful. But it's not a big deal for me, as I consider myself to be a super woman and nobody can stop me."

The Kannada film was first titled Dirty Picture: Silk Sakkath Maga but Ekta Kapoor, who produced the Hindi film, objected strongly to that and even went to court. The title was later changed to Silk Sakkath Maga.
