Hollywood's most good looking, most loved and most prolific confirmed bachelor George Clooney has fallen hook, line and sinker for a high profile human rights lawyer from Britain.

Recent developments in Clooney's love life have sent shockwaves through his legions of fans worldwide, because whoever thought this resolute-looking confirmed bachelor would ever settle down?

Before he found his Ms Right, Clooney dated a LOT of Hollywood stars, starlets, models and suchlike.

Deedee Pfeiffer

Clooney dated actress Michelle Pfeiffer's sister Deedee in the 1980s briefly.

After Pfeiffer, Clooney dated actress Kelly Preston from 1988 and moved in with her shortly after.

Preston, who has been married to John Travolta since 1991, had divorced actor Kevin Gage shortly before she started seeing Clooney.

While she was living with Clooney, he gave her a potbellied piglet named Max that he continued to care for until the pig died in 2006.

Talia Balsam, who is now married to Mad Men actor Jon Slattery, was the only woman Clooney married.

The couple got hitched on December 15, 1989 and parted ways four years later in September, 1993.

Clooney is believed to have resolved to never marry after this breakup since he felt he 'wasn't cut out for it' and he 'hadn't given Talia a fair chance.'

Shortly after his divorce, Clooney began a three-year relationship with actress Kimberly Russell, whom he met on the set of a martini commercial.

Russell was recently seen in Lee Daniels' Precious.

Clooney reportedly dated model and television personality Karen Duffy but very briefly in 1995.

They made a highly publicised appearance together at the year's Emmys.

Clooney met Celine Balitran in Paris while filming the movie The Peacemaker in 1996.

They dated until 1999.

Balitran continued to work as a model, and was married to filmmaker David Rosenthal until their divorce in 2004.

A-lister Lucy Liu and Clooney were reportedly dating during the most of 2000 but never officially acknowledged their relationship.

They were even snapped sharing a New Year's Eve kiss in 2006.

Clooney met actress Krista Allen on the sets of Confessions of A Dangerous Mind, his directorial debut, in 2002.

The couple dated on and off until their final breakup in 2006.

In 2010, Allen married British musician Mams Taylor, but they separated in August 2011.

She runs a blog called Veggie Boom Boom.

Clooney dated model Lisa Snowdon on and off for five years, before they finally ended it for good in 2006.

Snowden is now a regular DJ for Capital Radio in London.

Actress Renee Zellweger was linked to Clooney a number of times too.

But in 2007, they denied there was ever a romance and said that they've been just friends for over a decade.

Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher is also believed to have, very briefly, dated Clooney in 2006.

In the actress's inner circles, he is referred to as the man who broke her heart.

Clooney dated Sarah Larson, a cocktail waitress from Las Vegas.

They called it off in 2008 after a few months together.

George Clooney and Elisabetta Canalis confirmed they were dating after the latter was spotted on the back of George's motorcycle in July 2009.

The two dated for a little less than two years and broke up in June 2011.

Clooney and former professional wrestler and Dancing With the Stars contestant Stacy Keibler ended things in July 2013 after two years of dating.

While Kiebler insisted that Clooney's refusal to settle down wasn't the deal breaker, she got hitched to businessman Jared Pobre in March this year.
