PIX: Amitabh Bachchan gets honoured

Subhash Ghai’s Whistling Woods International held a convocation ceremony for its batch of 200 students on July 17 at Rangsharda auditorium, Bandra, a western surburb of Mumbai.

At the function, Amitabh Bachchan, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia and Pandit Shivkumar Sharma were also honoured with Lifetime Achievement for their contribution to film and art.

Speaking at the occasion, Amitabh Bachchan said, "It’s a proud moment for me to see the future of film industry today. I am grateful to Subhashji for building a platform that will enhance the skills of actors, filmmakers, screenplay writers and more. There is a huge amount of interest in filmmaking so I wish all the luck to the graduating batch that will now bear the burden of taking the industry to newer heights.”
