The actor, who made his Bollywood debut with Isi Life Mein in 2010, offers a slice to a Rediff staffer.
Pizza is the story of a pizza delivery man and how his life turns upside down when he lands up at the doorstep of a mysteriously dysfunctional family for a delivery one day.
Needless to say, the light-eyed actor was received with much enthusiasm in the newsroom.
Pizza also stars former pageant queen Parvathy Omanakuttan and Dipannita Sharma in pivotal roles while Arunoday Singh makes a brief appearance in the film.
The Tamil original, helmed by debutant Karthik Subbaraj, was a critical and commercial success.
The Hindi remake is produced by UTV's Siddharth Roy Kapur and filmmaker Bejoy Nambiar.
The pizza, brought by Akshay, reflected the tone of the film.
