Friends, family and fans gather to bid goodbye to veteran actress Suchitra Sen, who breathed her last earlier today.

Legendary actress Suchitra Sen, who passed away on Friday, January 17, following a massive heart attack, was given an elaborate sendoff in Kolkata this evening.

Sen's funeral took place at Keoratala Crematorium in south Kolkata and a gun salute was accorded to the legendary actress.

Daughter Moon Moon Sen, grand daughter Raima Sen and chief minister Mamta Banerjee were present at the funeral.

The late legend was given a gun salute by the West Bengal government, as announced by chief minister Mamata Banerjee earlier in the day.
