The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, located in Mumbai, is all set to host an exhibition to honour the legacy of legendary filmmaker Bimal Roy.

Starting July 7, Bimal Roy memorabilia will be on display at the Curator's gallery for two weeks.

Bimal Roy's family has opened the treasury to Roy's personal belongings -- posters, photographs, costumes, contracts, song books including rare ones of New Theatre classics like Maya and Mukti, the Arriflex camera he used to shoot Bandini among others.

His classics Bandini, Sujata and Madhumati will also be screened. There will be short talks by eminent academics before a film screening to enhance the experience of watching a black and white movie.

In addition to this, filmmaker Shivendra Singh Dungarpur is scheduled to conduct a workshop on film preservation and theatre personality Nivedita Baunthiyal will hold a film/theatre appreciation workshop for municipal school children.

Filmmaker Ramesh Sippy is set to direct 'dream girl' Hema Malini once again after the duo delivered Bollywood's cult classic Sholay 39 years ago.

The film will be titled Shimla Mirchi and will go on floors in August.

The romantic saga will also feature Citylights star Rajkummar Rao. The actress opposite him is yet to be finalised.

"Ramesh Sippy's Sholay was released 39 years ago, when he created the character of Basanti with his favourite actress Hema Malini.

"He is going to work with Hema Malini after Sholay in Shimla Mirchi and like his other films, the first letter of his next film is also with the letter 'S'," a release said.

Sippy's last release as a director was Zamaana Deewana in 1995.

The film starred Raveena Tandon and Shah Rukh Khan in the lead.

Bipasha Basu starrer Creature 3D to release in September

Bipasha Basu starrer 3D horror film Creature has been delayed by a month.

The film, originally slated to release on August 22, will now hit the screens on September 12.

Creature will mark the debut of Pakistani actor Imran Abbas opposite Bipasha.

Director Vikram Bhatt is happy with the postponement as they will be able to avoid a clash with Singham Returns.

"It's a mega budget film for both Bhushan and me. We had to push forward the release by two weeks because Singham Returns opens on August 15 and we didn't want to come within a week of its release," the director said in a statement in Mumbai.

Producer Bhushan Kumar cited VFX work for delay.

"Vikram is working on the post production of the film since there is a lot of VFX work to be done. He has shot it on par with international standards and this will be a treat for the Indian audiences. We have chalked our promotional plans and have taken a mutual decision with our distributors to postpone the release of the film. Now the film hits screens on September 12," Bhushan said.

Bipasha shot her career's first hit with Vikram in 2002 film Raaz.

She later returned for Raaz 3.

Creature is their third film together.
