Like X-Men: Days Of Future Past trailer? Tell us!

Thanks to last year's ridiculously successful Avengers movie, the time for the all-star multi-superhero blockbuster is well and truly here.

Bryan Singer, he of The Usual Suspects and the great first two X:Men movies, returns to the franchise with this time-straddling film that reunites the younger, formative mutants of X:Men First Class with the older lot we first met in Singer's films.

So hold your hats cause we're going to see Halle Berry's Storm, Hugh Jackman's Wolverine mix it up with two kinds of Professor Xavier (James McAvoy and Patrick Stewart) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender and Ian McKellen). 

More thrillingly still, fans of striking blue shapeshifter Mystique will get to see both her young (Jennifer Lawrence) and older (Rebecca Romijn), um, avatars.

The trailer kicks off with an eye and a proposal, after which, amid much dramatically explosive action, the gang shows up.

It ends on the older Xavier telling the younger Xavier that "we need you to hope again."

The stakes are high for this new film, but Singer seems to be characteristically in control. And the results are spectacular.

The one downside? We'll have to wait till May 2014 to see what's under the floor of the Oval Office.
