I am not getting married nor am I engaged to anyone,” Katrina Kaif, who was inundated with media queries regarding rumoured beau Ranbir Kapoor at the Dhoom 3 press conference recently at Yash Raj Studios in suburban Mumbai, responded curtly.

While the press meet was aimed at bringing all the film's stars -- Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Uday Chopra -- together to promote the film, the focus promptly shifted to Katrina's relationship status following Ranbir's appearance on Koffee With Karan along with cousin Kareena.

In the episode that aired over the  weekend, Kareena had teasingly referred to the Dhoom actress as her future sister-in-law.

When asked about it, Katrina said it wasn't meant to be taken seriously.

According to her, Kareena had told her beforehand that she was going to call her sister-in-law 'just for fun.'

"Before that episode was shot, Kareena and I met at a dinner hosted by Karan Johar.

“Kareena told me she will be pulling everyone's leg on the show and asked me if she can say certain things about me in a fun way. I agreed as it was all for fun,” Katrina said.

When asked about Kareena’s comment that she would love to dance to Chikini Chameli and Sheila Ki Jawaani at Ranbir’s wedding, Katrina quipped, “I would love to dance on Ranbir’s Besharaam songs at his wedding.”

Reminded that Ranbir had said in an interview that Katrina is special to him, and that he would give his life for her, Katrina said, “I will give away my life for anyone if it's required. If Ranbir needs me, I will always be there for him.”

Aamir Khan: I wish Yash Chopra was alive to see this film

The attention finally shifted to Aamir Khan, the male lead in the film.

Aamir claimed he was not interested in the box office collections of Dhoom 3.

“It is important that the audience have a great time and love the film. The audience is not interested in numbers and neither am I. I believe films should touch your heart,” he said.

The 48-year-old actor's tap dancing in the film has generated quite a buzz.

He trained with renowned choreographer Dein Perry of Australia.

“It took me more than 45 days to learn tap dancing,” Aamir said. “I believe I still don’t know it well as I didn’t have the luxury to practice for a longer period. I think it takes around two to three years to learn it properly.”

His association with the producers of the film, Yash Raj Films, has always been good.

“Yashji (Yash Chopra) is no longer with us and it will be a big regret that he won't be here to see the film. I wish he were alive to see the film. I would have loved to see his reaction.”

'Aditya Chopra is a rumour; he does not exist'

Abhishek Bachchan who has been a part of all three Dhoom films, said the third installment was more edgy.

“I have always been a part of Dhoom. I think there should be some dhoom in our personal lives too,” he said.

Abhishek, who returns as top cop Jai Dixit for the third time, was in his element.

Asked why the reclusive producer Aditya Chopra doesn't attend press meets or promotional events, Abhishek joked, “Actually, Aditya is a rumour. He does not exist… That’s why Uday (Chopra) answers for him."

Dhoom 3 is set to release on December 20.
