Is Sonakshi Sinha the MOST BORING item girl ever?

Sonakshi Sinha -- pegged as one of the most successful actresses among her contemporaries -- has lately been gravitating towards item numbers.

While she's yet to have her own Munni or Sheila, all the said appearances feature long sleeved dresses with demure necklines and hemlines, like this latest one from Tigmanshu Dhulia's Bullett Raja called Tamanche Pe Disco.

In an age when the likes of Kareena Kapoor (Halkat jawani, Fevicol se) and Deepika Padukone (remember the bold Dum Maaro Dum ditty?) go all out to outdo the last item number, doesn't Sonakshi strike you as probably the most boring of the lot?

In the hugely popular Party all night  song with Akshay Kumar in his last release Boss, Sonakshi makes an appearance in a sequinned black dress that has little going for it in terms of oomph.

Himmatwala

Sonakshi Sinha's retro turn in Sajid Khan's Himmatwala was just as forgettable as the film.

Nothing about the song stood out and the actress's ho-hum appearance didn't help matters.

OMG! Oh My God

Her first item song, the Go go go Govinda performance was just the opposite of her acting debut -- droll and uninspired.

The outfit was nothing to write home about either.
