In Bollywood, nothing is permanent.
Neither success nor sourness.
Every now and then, celebrities squabble with their colleagues over misunderstandings created by mischievous minds or their own insecurity or inflated ego.
The ensuring war of words sells many a extra magazine copies or breaking news fodder for the entertainment deprived.
Equally talked about is the inevitable patch-up, which may be a result of a third party initiative or good sense prevailing.

The superstar friends turned foes on July 16, 2008 at Katrina Kaif's birthday bash after a heated argument between the two.
Since then, both avoided attending public or social events at the same time and shrugged any possibility of a truce. Apparently, all that is in the past now considering the Jab Tak Hai Jaan hero tweeted, 'Finally u realize turning the page is the best feeling in the world, becos there is so much more to the book than the page u were stuck on.'
On that upbeat note, here's noting some of the famous patch-ups of Bollywood.
The editor-turned-filmmaker and the superstar started off on an ugly note despite SRK's closeness to Kunder's wife -- Farah Khan -- who's directed two of his home productions -- Main Hoon Naa and Om Shanti Om.
Kunder's tweet, 'I just heard a 150 Cr firework fizzle,' did not go down too well with the actor.
At Sanjay Dutt's party attended by both, SRK blew his lid and slapped the Joker director in public view.
Fortunately, both parties understood the idiocy of it all and after an extended heart-to-heart at Khan's residence Mannat, decided to let bygones be bygones.
They both got a break around the same time and worked together on films like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Khamoshi: The Musical.
But the anxiety of having their big release on the same day -- Om Shanti Om and Saawariya -- resulted in a verbal tussle straining their otherwise chilled-out camaraderie.
During an awards ceremony later, the two got ample time to catch up and bury the hatchet resulting in FK's leading lady debut in Bhansali's home production, Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi.
The directors were at loggerheads for the longest time.
Anurag Kashyap's anti-establishment protests directed at Bollywood royalty, including Karan Johar's talk show Koffee With Karan, ruffled the suave filmmaker's feathers a tad too often to ignore.
Things appeared to be tense between the two until they both collaborated on Bombay Talkies, an anthology film to celebrate 100 years of Hindi cinema.
The mutual admiration society between the two has now extended to the point that KJo is all set to play a negative character in Kashyap's upcoming Bombay Velvet co-starring Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma.
The 1990s show girls famously engaged in cat fights during the making of Andaz Apna Apna and Aatish.
From films with Ajay Devgn (whom Karisma was rumoured to be dating at that point) to dance steps and costumes, Karisma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon brought out their claws over everything.
In time, the ladies have not only mellowed down but owing to their daughters, Samaira and Raasha who get along famously, finally forgiven and forgotten.
Karan Johar is known for his famous equation with the stars.
But when he blasted uncomplimentary things about Priyanka Chopra on Twitter to show his allegiance to buddy and star wife Gauri in wake of her husband Shah Rukh Khan's link-ups with PC in print, their Dostana appeared dead for good.
The filmmaker, however, soon realised his folly and called her up to say sorry.
It all began with Sajid Khan's Heyy Babyy.
Vidya Balan's look in the film was designed by famous fashion designer Manish Malhotra. And the actress with her garish dressing sense earned a lot of flak, which she openly blamed on MM.
The incensed stylist of films like Rangeela, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai didn't mince words either.
How can she speak about fashion sense with her fantastic figure?, he argued.
The ugly conflict eventually ended after the Kahaani star, now perennially clad in exquisite Sabyasachi saris, graciously attended Malhotra's fashion show in Delhi a few years ago.
Karan Johar and Kareena Kapoor exude affection for each other at every given opportunity today.
But the star who's worked on many Dharma productions including the in-the-making Gori Tere Pyaar Mein was once on the receiving end of K Jo's ire after she turned down the leading role in Kal Ho Naa Ho over remuneration.
The peeved filmmaker only calmed down after the fiery actress extended the olive branch and made up for her 'starry' attitude.
Sanjay Gupta started his filmmaking career with pal Sanjay Dutt in Aatish and followed it up with many sleekly packaged action thrillers.
They even set up a production company together, White Feather Films.
The partnership ended on a foul note amidst reports of financial bungling and the BFFs swore never to work with each other.
At Amitabh Bachchan's birthday party last year, the two exchanged the quintessential jadoo ki jhappi and all's well that ends well.
The magical combination of Rajkumar Santoshi's intense scripts and Sunny Deol's raging physicality produced many career bests in their career.
But deep-rooted resentment creeped in the sensitive Deol and agonised Santoshi developed differences over Bobby Deol's debut Barsaat and intensified when both decided to make their version of Bhagat Singh's life for celluloid.
After several years, the two spoke and cleared the air and decided to make magic with movies again when opportunity strikes.
Though they've worked in several films together like Dostana, Kaala Patthar and Naseeb, the Amitabh Bachchan-Shatrughan Sinha rivalry has stretched over time thanks to the latter's ceaseless jibes and omission from the guest list of Abhishek-Aishwarya Rai's wedding.
