Alicia Rhett, who starred in 1939’s Gone With The Wind, has passed away due to natural causes. She was 98.
According to Rhett’s retirement home -- Bishop Gadsden Episcopal Retirement Community in Charleston, SC -- the veteran actress died around 5 pm on Friday, People Magazine reported.
Rhett played the role of India Wilkes in the Hollywood classic, which also starred Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable.
Now that Rhett, who was also known for her portrait painting skills, has died, only three main cast members remain : Mary Anderson, 93, who played Maybelle Merriweather, Mickey Kuhn, 81, who starred as the son of Ashley and Melanie Wilkes and 97-year-old Olivia de Havilland who played Ashley Wilkes’ cousin.

Late actor Patrick Swayze’s widow Lisa Niemi has shared her joy about getting married again.
Nemi, who was married to the Dirty Dancing star for 34 years, has gotten engaged to jeweller Albert DePrisco, four years after her former husband’s death from pancreatic cancer, the Daily Express reported.
Nemi, who met DePrisco through common friends, said that he is a wonderful man and she said yes at once.
She added that she is really grateful for the type of connection she had with Swayze, and that a part of her believes that she will see him again but she also knows that she needs to go on until then.
DePrisco popped the question to the 57-year-old writer on Christmas Eve after dating for 18 months.
Producer Saul Zaentz has died after battling with Alzheimer’s disease at the age of 92.
Zaentz, who won the Oscar for his hit film One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, died in his home in San Francisco, California, Contactmusic reported.
His nephew Paul Zaentz confirmed the news and said that the producer was an extraordinary man, who had a lot of guts and integrity.
