Gauahar Khan: I love to talk

'I am a big fan of talent shows,' Gauahar Khan tells Rajul Hegde.

After winning hearts and the title in Bigg Boss and then in Kathron Ki Khiladi, Gauahar Khan is ready to wow the audiences again.

This time, as a host in Star Plus' talent-based music reality show, India’s Raw Star.

The actress looks gorgeous as ever but she claims she's put on four kilos. "I ate a lot during Ramzan," she explains.

She tells Rajul Hegde more.

What have you been doing after Bigg Boss and Kathron Ki Khiladi?

I travelled after Bigg Boss.

I went to Switzerland, Dubai, Berlin and France. It was my first visit to Paris. It was really beautiful.

I didn’t know that places like that existed. I was shocked.

I have travelled all over the world but I have never seen anything like this.

Then, I completed a film and then came on board for Raw Star a couple of months back.

How is Raw Star different from other music-based reality shows?

The contestants of India's Raw Star are treated like artists.

The concept and the format of the show are different.

It is designed to make audiences get the feel of a live music concert while sitting in the comfort of their living rooms.

Hosting is new to you.

Yes, so it seemed like an exciting prospect. I love to talk.

This was a great opportunity to work with the number one channel and with Honey Singh.

I am the host and the voice of the viewers as there are no judges on the show.

I am a big fan of talent shows, and this one will be full-on entertainment.

The show is a brand in itself. My association with it will bring a certain value to the show and to my body of work.

You say you love to talk, but a good host needs to be witty as well.

I have opinions about things. I feed on whatever is coming to me.

I have not taken tips from anyone on hosting a reality show  because I want to bring my own personality and something new to the table.

How was your first meeting with Honey Singh?

Off screen, Honey has a childlike quality, which is endearing.

He was relaxed... not so star like, and genuine and respectful.

Which song of his do you like?

I like Chaar Bottle Vodka. I don’t drink alcohol and I don’t promote it. I just like the beat.

Would you like to be part of his album if you get a chance?

He has said that he will come up with an album of different genres of music.

If he feels that I fit in somewhere, then why not? I would love to.

You were known for your stylish clothes in Bigg Boss. What can we expect in this show?

Styling is given importance in this show. I will wear designer stuff.

The channel wants to create history through this show.

Honey and I are known for fashion. And if there is no sense of fashion in this show, it doesn’t make sense.
