Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra welcomed their baby daughter on February 15, and introduced her to the world a few days later.
Named Samisha, the baby is nicknamed the 'Junior SSK' in the house.
Shilpa shares a picture on Instagram and writes, 'Our prayers have been answered with a miracle... With gratitude in our hearts, we are thrilled to announce the arrival of our little Angel, Samisha Shetty Kundra.'
She explains the meaning of her name: ''Sa’ in Sanskrit is “to have” and 'Misha’ in Russian stands for “someone like God”. You personify this name -- our Goddess Laxmi, and complete our family.'
Samisha's 'overjoyed brother' Viaan is seven years old.
Shilpa and Raj got married in a lavish wedding ceremony in 2009.
The congratulations poured in from the film industry, with Malaika Arora Khan, Bhumi Pednekar, Anita Hassanandani, Sophie Choudry, Dia Mirza and Shilpa's Nikamma co-star Abhimanu Dassani writing in.
