Sheela and MohanlalVeteran Malayalam director Sathyan Anthikkad has come up with a casting coup with Mohanlal and Sheela, in his latest yet-untitled film. The heroine of yesteryear plays Mohanlal's mother in the film.

Sheela's most famous film was the National Award winning Chemmeen made in 1965. She made a comeback as an old woman in Sathyan Anthikad's Manassinakkare in 2003 and her scenes with Jayaram in that film were a riot.

"Though there are several titles doing the rounds in the media, I have not
decided on one," says Sathyan Anthikkad, about the film's title. He has also written the script.

Padmapriya is paired opposite Mohanlal in the film, which also includes Biju Menon, Innocent, Lena, Chembil Asokan and Sasi Kalinga.

The story is set in a village in Palakkad. Mohanlal comes from a middle class background, has worked in the Gulf and also in Chennai. Things take a curious turn with the arrival of a young boy in the village.

The film will be produced by Antony Perumbavoor for Ashirwad Cinemas. The cinematographer is Venu and the music director is Ilaiyaraja.

Shooting is currently underway in Palakkad.
