Shahid, Deepika give us Fashion Goals

Last updated on: January 25, 2018 16:02 IST

What do you have to say about their style?

At a style awards ceremony, Bollywood folk turned up in their fashionable best.

We saw the stars give haute coutre a new roop at the HT Style Awards on Wednesday, January 24, in Mumbai.

Most gave us #FashionGoals, a few disappointed us with their choices.

The beige brigade: Sonakshi Sinha, Kiara Advani, Varun Dhawan.

Varun was voted the Most Stylish Youth Icon. Sona won the Breaking the Mould (female) prize.

The timeless Style Diva (female) award was presented to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Pa-in-law Amitabh Bachchan won the Superstar of Style award.

The Jeep Style Badge of Honour went to Akshay Kumar.

Mr and Mrs Kapoor, who won the Most Stylish Couple award, go monochrome: Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor.

'I am extremely proud to see Shahid essay that role and do so much justice and more to it,' Mira said about hubby's role in Padmaavat.

'Watching him on screen was such a visual treat. Without any bias, I would say he is the best thing in the film,' doting missus proclaimed.

'I have always said I was very nervous before doing the film. I was new to this team. The role I am essaying, Maha Rawal Ratan Singh, people don't know much about it,' Sasha added.

'My wife was a huge support for me. She has always told me, "Shahid, go out there and express yourself". I have tried to do that in the last one-and-a-half years. It is a very important film for me.'

Deepika Padukone -- whose courage we applaud -- won India's Most Stylish award.

'The film has spoken for itself,' Deepika says in this video. Be very safe girl. There are plenty of crazies out there who have made all sorts of threats to you.

Sonam Kapoor, who won the Global Style Icon award, disappointed us -- for once -- with her outfit.

Kriti Sanon, voted the Most Stylish Youth Icon (female), twirled to show off her dress.

Sanjay Dutt was voted Style Legend (Male).

Rekha was presented the Hall of Fame (female) trophy.

'Style is not external. It is a feeling,' the Eternal Beauty declared.

'The sari reminds me of my mother. When I wear Kanjeevaram, I feel engulfed by love, protection and softness from my mother.'

Does Sridevi, who won the Style Legend (Female) award, go anywhere without hubby Boney Kapoor?

Another southerner bagged the Hall of Fame (male) award: Kamal Haasan, who is reportedly all set to release his Vishwaroopam 2 the same week as Rajinikanth's 2.0.

Diana Penty adds feathers to her glittery dress.
