Shah Rukh Khan booked for insulting national flag

Shah Rukh KhanShah Rukh Khan has been booked by the Pune police for allegedly insulting the national flag, police said.
 
Based on the complaint of Lok Janshakti Party national secretary Ravi Brahme that Shah Rukh, 46, allegedly insulted the tricolour in a video uploaded on Youtube, the Chatushringi police lodged an FIR against the actor on August 14.
 
"Shah Rukh Khan has been booked under sections of Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971. The case was registered on August 14 and has been transferred to
Mumbai police for further investigation. The case documents consist some photos and videos too," a police officer said.

Incidentally, Brahme had recently lodged a complaint against Mumbai-based model Gehna Vashisht for allegedly insulting the national flag by wearing it as a bikini.
 
She was arrested on August 18 by Deccan Gymkhana police in Pune and released on bail the next day.
 
While Shah Rukh's manager in Mumbai was unavailable for comment, sources close to the actor in Mumbai said he does not have any knowledge about any such complaint against him.
