MS Sathyu to head jury at IFFI

Veteran filmmaker M S Sathyu will head the feature films jury for the Indian panorama at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2005 to be held in Goa from November 24 to December 4. Arabir Syam Sarma, the noted director from Manipur, will head the jury for the selection of non-feature films.

Besides Sathyu, the feature films jury comprises Tamil and Telugu film actress Roja Ramani, director Biplab Roychoudhary, film historian R K Verma, director C P Padmakumar, and National Award winning filmmaker Shalini Shah.

In the jury for non-feature films, the other members are directors Arun Chaddha, Sanjivan Lal and M A Rehman, and film critic M K Raja Narayan.

The two juries are expected to submit their reports to the government by October 10. The jury for feature films will also recommend two feature films that will represent India in the competition section of IFFI known as the Asian, African and Latin American Competition.
