Salman Khan has pledged his support for the #RallyforRivers movement announced by spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev.

In a video posted on his Twitter handle, Salman says, 'Rivers of our country have given us water for thousands of years. Unfortunately, they are getting dried up today. If our rivers dry, then our existence will be under threat. So to save the rivers, I have joined the movement of #RallyforRivers.'

He ends the message stating, 'I am giving a missed call to 8000980009 to support the cause. And it is a request that you to do the same. Thank you.'

Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev will kick off the month-long movement to create and spread awareness about conserving rivers, from Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu on September 3. The drive will culminate in New Delhi on Gandhi Jayanti, October 2.

The Bollywood superstar is the latest celebrity to extend support for the drive, which has been backed by many personalities from the world of glamour, films, and business.
