Robin WilliamsFive-time Golden Globe awardee Robin Williams, previously honoured for his memorable work on films including The Fisher King and Good Morning, Vietnam, will receive the Cecil B DeMille Award for career achievement at the next installment of the Golden Globes in January, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association has announced.

Williams, 52, remembered for his quirky, zany roles as for his heartwarming films, has been cited for his 'outstanding contribution to the entertainment field.'

The Golden Globes will be presented on January 16.

There is a role at the ceremony called Miss Golden Globe, that of the daughter of a Hollywood celebrity who will help hand out trophies. These have formerly included daughters who went on to become stars in their own right: Melanie Griffith, Laura Dern, and Joely Fisher.

This time, Clint Eastwood's daughter Kathryn, 16, will fill out this role.
