September 12, 2006 13:34 IST
Singer-musician Remo will perform in Brasilia, Brazil, this week.

Remo has been invited by Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath to grace a special show for Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his Brazilian guests.

Dr Singh arrived in Brazil on Monday on an official visit.

The show at Brasilia's Porto Vittoria hall will be attended by about 500 guests.

Goa-based Remo arrived in Brazil and already begun rehearsing for the event.

In addition to his lively IndiPop compositions, Remo can be expected to sing some Portuguese songs. Both Brazil and Goa were colonised by Portugal, and Portuguese is Brazil's official language.
