Ravi Teja's Kick 2 to release on June 12

Ravi Teja’s Kick, directed by Surendar Reddy in 2009, was a huge hit. It was remade in Tamil as Thillalangadi in Kannada as Super Ranga and later in Hindi with Salman Khan in lead.  

Now the sequel to the original Telugu Kick, titled Kick 2 will release on June 12. It is directed by Surendar Reddy.

Ravi Teja plays the hero and Rakul Preet Singh is the leading lady.

The film is produced by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and written by Vakkantham Vamsi.

Prabhas in Baahubali

 

SS Rajamouli's Baahubali is the most anticipated movie this year. Over the last few weeks, the team has been releasing the stills of the major characters in the film.

Anushka is Devasena, Rana plays Bhalladeva, Tamannah plays Avantika.

Recently the director unveiled the look of Prabhas who plays the lead role in the film.

With regard to this primary character, director of Baahubali S S Rajamouli tweeted: Uncrowned, but enshrined in the Kingdom’s heart. #The True King.

The audio and trailer launch is scheduled for May 31, in Hyderabad.

Swati to do a women centric film

 

Swati is known to choose films with substantial roles.

She acts in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam films, and is doing a woman centric film Tripura, directed by Rajkiran who made the recent hit Gitanjali (starring Anjali).

Veligonda Srinivas has written the screenplay. S Ravikumar is handling the camera.

The film is currently under production. The first look of Tripura was released by director VV Vinayak.

Meenakshi Dixit in Kundan Shah’s film

 

Meenakshi Dixit, a trained kathak and western dancer, began her film career doing special items songs for south films.

Her item song in Mahesh Babu’s Dookudu was an instant hit.

Post-Dookudu Meenakshi Dixit did special roles in Venkatesh’s Bodyguard, Ravi Teja’s Daruvu, Srikanth’s Devaraya besides an item song in NTR Jr’s Baadshah.

 Subsequently she played the heroine in Tamil film Tenaliraman and did a lead role in the Telugu film Adavi Kaachina Vennela.

 Now Meenakshi Dixit is stepping into Bollywood with P Se PM Tak directed by Kundan Shah of  Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron fame, where she plays the role of a prostitute.

P Se PM Tak is a political satire about a prostitute who lands up in a town where a by-election is just hotting up, and ends up as Chief Minister!

Noted actors play key roles in the film, which will release on May 29, 2015.
