National Award-winner (for Kalpana Lajmi's Daman) Raveena Tandon has been appointed chairperson of the Children's Film Society of India.
Duggupati Suresh has been nominated vice-chairperson while Radhika, Soundarya, Devendra Khandelwal, Shabd Kumar and noted cartoon film-maker Ram Mohan are non-official members from the film world.
The eminent persons named from other fields like education, art, child psychology and child welfare are Vandana Narayan, Anuradha Mahindra, Shallu Jindal, Renuka Mishra, Amod Kanth and Veena Deo.
